NDIS SUPPORT

Since 2016, we've been instrumental in supporting Self-Managed and Plan-Managed NDIS participants. We utilise a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, many of which are room-based. However, we encourage our clients to experience the beautiful calming effect of horses, and being in nature is part of the therapy process too.

Our sessions are not just another service but a unique and holistic approach that has proven invaluable in helping children and adults manage life's challenges and achieve NDIS goals.

Our empathetic and caring staff values, respects, and embraces each individual’s diversity and way of experiencing the world. We warmly welcome people just as they are.

Participants are always empowered to have choice and control in our work together. Every session is meticulously tailored to each NDIS participant’s goals and preferences.

Some of our focus areas can include:

  • Self-regulation

  • Awareness of self and others

  • Communication

  • Confidence building

  • Resilience strengthening

  • Responsibility development

  • Trust enhancement

  • Relationship, interpersonal and social skills

  • Boundary consciousness

  • Solution resolution

  • Independent living skills

  • Psychosocial functioning

Our services are designed to be safe and accessible for people of ‘all abilities’. Our well-established indoor and ‘all-weather outdoor facilities’ are in a beautiful natural bushland setting.

No prior horse experience is necessary. Participants may be gently invited to observe, meet or share space with one or more of our horses. Relating personal experiences to horse behaviour can establish connections and deep bonds. Some participants may also explore practical experiences, such as horse care, mounted experiences, or supervised lead work, that instil purpose, trust, and resilience.

Translating these skills and experiences to daily life is a valuable aspect that allows participants to apply what they learn to various real-world situations.

For Example: Participants may choose to learn tools that support self-regulation. Developing the ability to self-calm reduces reactive responses, fosters well-being and empowers participants with increased choice capacity to promote goal achievement. Horses support this process as they are naturally grounded, settle using their out-breath, express themselves clearly, and seek support from herd members.

NDIS Session Costs

Sessions are $194 per hour, varying based on NDIS arrangements. A 48-hour cancellation fee applies. We recommend attending fortnightly or monthly, allowing you to gauge our work. An ongoing Service Agreement can be arranged.

We need your support!

We operate as a self-funded charity, and the upkeep of our trained, happy, and healthy horses, along with maintaining our leased property, is a time-consuming and costly endeavour.

Your support plays a crucial role in enabling us to continue our mission. Whether it's through a donation to aid our clients, sponsoring a horse, providing horse feed, or contributing to facility improvements, every bit of assistance makes a significant impact.

If you share our commitment to making a positive difference, we invite you to reach out and explore the various ways you can support us.
